What to expect for your Retirement Ceremony

Let's talk about it

Your retirement from the military marks not just the close of a chapter, but the celebration of a legacy. It's a bittersweet moment - one filled with deep reflection on years of unwavering commitment, friendships that have become family, and memories that will last a lifetime.

To ensure you don’t miss a single moment, please plan to arrive early. While the ceremony begins promptly at 10:00 AM, seating and parking are usually filled by 9:30 AM or earlier.

Once you’re comfortably seated, prepare to take it all in. The ceremony lasts approximately 60 minutes, during which I’ll be capturing all the meaningful moments, emotions, and milestones.

For those who’ve invited extended family to witness this special occasion - don’t worry! After the ceremony, we’ll gather for family photos inside the museum, ensuring everyone is part of this unforgettable day

Family portraits at the Aviation Museum

After the ceremony ends, we’ll begin taking photos both inside the museum and outside near the aircraft displays. Everyone you’ve invited is welcome to join! We’ll begin with portraits of you and your spouse, followed by group photos with family, friends as well as any smaller family combinations you’d like to include.

In addition to portraits, we’ll take time to capture detailed shots of your uniform—rank, ribbons, and all the symbols that tell your story. These thoughtful touches help preserve the full meaning of this milestone.
