What to expect for your WOCS Graduation

After five weeks of training and dedication, it’s finally time to celebrate - WOCS Graduation is here!

Graduation ceremonies are typically held at 10:00 AM, either at the Aviation Museum or the Theater on post at Fort Rucker. Seating and parking can fill up quickly, so it's recommended to arrive by 9:00 AM to secure a good spot. By 9:30 AM, most of the parking and seating is usually taken. If the main lot is full, don’t worry - there are plenty of overflow areas within a five-minute walk.

Once you're settled into your seat, get ready for a powerful and memorable experience. The ceremony lasts about 60 to 90 minutes, during which I’ll be documenting all the important moments and details of your Graduate’s achievement.

When it's time to pin your Soldier, please keep in mind that the space up front is limited. Typically, two to three family members are recommended to participate in the pinning to ensure everything runs smoothly.

If you’ve invited extended family to join in the celebration - wonderful! After the ceremony, we’ll gather for family photos inside the museum to capture this proud moment with everyone who came to support your Graduate.

Family portraits at the Aviation Museum

Following Graduation, we’ll take family photos both inside the museum and outside among the aircraft. Everyone you’ve invited is welcome to join in!

We’ll begin with portraits of you and your spouse, then capture group photos with all your guests, along with any smaller family variations you’d like. In addition to those, we’ll take time for detailed shots highlighting your new rank - a meaningful way to honor your accomplishment and preserve the memory of this incredible milestone.
